Kedarkantha Trek is one of India's best winter treks, located in the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. The trek offers stunning panoramic views of Himalayan peaks including Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Black Peak from the summit at 12,500 ft.

Day 1
Dehradun to Sankri Base Camp
Morning pickup from Dehradun. Drive through Mussoorie, Purola, and Mori to reach Sankri village.
The scenic drive passes through the Yamuna Valley with stunning mountain views.
Arrive at Sankri base camp by evening. Check-in, gear distribution, and trek briefing.
Dinner and overnight stay in guesthouse/tents.

Day 2
Sankri to Juda Ka Talab
Start the trek after breakfast through dense oak and pine forests.
The trail is well-defined with gradual ascent.
Arrive at Juda Ka Talab — a beautiful frozen lake surrounded by tall pine trees.
Set up camp near the lake. Explore the area and enjoy the serene beauty.
Hot meals and bonfire in the evening.

Juda Ka Talab to Kedarkantha Base
Short trek day to the Kedarkantha base camp.
The trail opens up to wide meadows with panoramic Himalayan views.
Arrive at base camp by afternoon. Rest and acclimatize.
Early dinner and early sleep to prepare for the summit push next morning.

Summit Day — Kedarkantha Peak & Descent to Sankri
Early morning start (3-4 AM) for the summit push.
The final stretch is steep and may be snow-covered.
Reach the summit by sunrise for breathtaking 360-degree views of Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Black Peak and more.
Descend back to Sankri base camp via Juda Ka Talab.
Celebration dinner at base camp.
